FlyLock Security Solutions - Cincinnati is seeking a Locksmith Apprentice to join our team. The role focuses on hands-on work installing, repairing, and maintaining commercial and residential hardware, learning from an experienced locksmith, and growing technical skills in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have locksmithing knowledge and can learn new methods. You will work with a team and independently, develop client communication, and contribute to current projects while upholding

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain Commercial and Residential hardware.
• Learn from an experienced locksmith and develop skills.
• Residential & Commercial lock re-keying and pinning.
• Interpret instructions from written, diagram, or schedule form.
• Troubleshoot with various variables in different situations.
• Maintain and service equipment used.
• Read operating and maintenance instructions and procedures.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information to customers and commercial clients.

Job Title:

Locksmith Apprentice

Reports To:

General Manager or Franchise Owner

Key Areas of Responsibility:

The Locksmith Apprentice position is an integral part of FlyLock and is key to the growth of the company. All Locksmiths must have the ability to work well in a high-paced working environment. The individual must work well as part of the team and independently from the FlyLock owner. The Apprentice position is a hands-on technical position geared toward an individual who has a technical mindset. Ideal candidates will have locksmithing knowledge and demonstrate the ability to learn new technical methods and techniques.

The responsibilities of a Locksmith Apprentice consist of the following:

• Ability to install, repair, and maintain Commercial and Residential hardware.
• Ability to work with a experience locksmith, to listen and to learn.
• Residential & Commercial Lock re-keying/ Perform Pining of locks.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to troubleshoot with a variety of variables in situations.
• Ability to clean, maintain, adjust, calibrate & service equipment used.
• Ability to read operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information to customers & commercial clients.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.

Operations Support:

• Receive verbal instructions from Management or Clients/Customers.
• Perform small projects as directed by Management.
• Complete and submit paperwork accurately and on time.

• Ability to use hands and fingers to grasp, twist, and pull.
• Ability to climb a ladder and work above ground.
• Withstand external weather conditions year-round.
