FlyLock Security Solutions in Cincinnati seeks a Locksmith Technician to join a fast-paced team. The role focuses on hands-on locksmithing, installation and maintenance of commercial and residential hardware, and access control systems.

The candidate should learn new methods quickly and work both independently and with others. Ideal applicants will have locksmithing knowledge, strong problem-solving abilities, and a safety-conscious mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in locksmithing, access control, door hardware, and related trades.
• Must have good verbal and communication skills.
• Able to multitask and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform emergency work orders for commercial clients.
• Install, repair, and maintain commercial and residential hardware.
• Install, repair, and maintain Access Control Hardware, and modify hardware.
• Create and maintain master key systems and perform re-keying.
• Read and interpret instructions in various formats and assist customers.

Job Title:

Locksmith Technician

Reports To:

General Manager or Franchise Owner

Key Areas of Responsibility:

The Locksmith Technician position is an integral part of FlyLock and is key to the growth of the company. All Locksmiths must have the ability to work well in a high-paced working environment. The individual must work well as part of the team and independently from the FlyLock owner. The Locksmith position is a hands-on technical position geared toward an individual who has a technical mindset. Ideal candidates will have locksmithing knowledge and demonstrate the ability to learn new technical methods and techniques.

The responsibilities of a FlyLock Security Solutions Lead Locksmith consist of the following:

• Ability to perform emergency work orders, for commercial clients only.
• Ability to install, repair, and maintain Commercial and Residential hardware.
• Safe and Card Access experience is a Huge Plus
• Ability to install, repair, and maintain Access Control Hardware
• Ability to modify hardware for locks.
• Ability to create and maintain master key systems.
• Residential & Commercial Lock re-keying/ Perform Pining of locks.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to troubleshoot with a variety of variables in situations.
• Ability to clean, maintain, adjust, calibrate & service equipment used.
• Ability to read operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information to customers & commercial clients.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Ability to cut keys by code.

Operations Support:

• Receive verbal instructions from Management or Clients/Customers.
• Perform small projects as directed by Management.
• Complete and submit paperwork accurately and on time.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:

• Minimum of 2 years experience in technical hands-on field experience in locksmithing, access control, door hardware, and other skilled trades.
• Good verbal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple functions at the same time.
• Good organizational skills.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.Capable of working effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to drive in compliance with company vehicle policy.
• Provide a high level of timely & accurate customer service.
• Communicates effectively with the client to determine what services are needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to fluently understand, speak, and write English.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift at least 50 lbs.
• Ability to kneel, crouch, stoop, and reach above below the shoulders.
• Ability to climb a ladder and work above ground.
• Withstand external weather conditions year-round.
