Job summary

Prairieland FS, Inc. in Houstonia, MO is seeking a Location Manager to lead operations, oversee scheduling, inventory, and product handling, and drive profitability.

You will supervise staff, manage the location's budget, and foster strong customer relations to maximize service quality and sales. Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Agronomy/Business or related field, experience in agricultural retail operations, and proficiency with MS Office and farming tech tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience preferred).
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Experience with agricultural technology and precision farming tools.
• Supervisory experience to demonstrate strong leadership skills in managing a location is preferred.
• Proven experience in agricultural retail operations is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of retail agricultural products.
• In-depth understanding, knowledge, and proven experience in agricultural operations management, including principles and practices.
• Experience in fieldwork and data collection is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hires, supervises, leads, and develops assigned staff at the location.
• Responsible for assigned product ordering, inventory control, and shipping/receiving of products.
• Efficiently schedules product delivery and oversees product application for maximum profitability.
• Oversee plant operations, including fertilizer blending, handling of chemicals, and seed products.
• Maintain equipment, rolling stock, and facilities.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers and provide product guidance.
• Manage the location’s operational budget and support annual budgeting processes.
• Collaborate with sales teams on products and opportunities for growth.
