Job summary

NEW Cooperative Inc. is seeking a seasoned location leader in Iowa to direct and coordinate all business aspects of the Mount Ayr location. You will work under Area Managers and District Managers to drive the cooperative’s mission while leading a team.

The role requires significant agribusiness experience in grain and/or agronomy operations, CDL with HazMat, and strong people skills. You’ll oversee safety, budgeting, and daily logistics.

Qualifications

• Significant agribusiness experience in grain and/or agronomy operations.
• Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement and pesticide handler’s license.
• Strong interpersonal communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions and manuals.
• Seasonality of the farm supply business and in-season time commitment.
• Knowledge of grain handling equipment and unit train loading.
• Proficiency with common computer programs and processes.
• Ability to balance accounts and purchasing mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Supervise location employees and provide guidance and oversight.
• Provide vision and leadership for the location team.
• Schedule and facilitate location meetings (group and individual).
• Educate and develop the location team through classes and coaching.
• Fill openings by evaluating, interviewing, and extending offers; train new employees.
• Manage accounts receivable as needed and reinforce safety practices.
• Collaborate with dispatchers and area managers to execute logistics daily.
• Support sales/marketing programs and assist daily location operations.
• Work toward meeting location budgets and explore growth opportunities.
• Promote company culture and communicate with Area Managers, District Managers, Senior Leadership, and the CEO as required.
