Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with four years of progressively responsible experience.
• Professional engineer license may be required by NC Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors.
• Ability to communicate complex plans and procedures to varied audiences.

Responsibilities

• Manage Locally Administered Projects (LAP) and support division-managed LAP coordination.
• Draft local agreements and ensure proper reimbursement for LAP work.
• Track project feasibility, budget, environmental issues, public involvement, design, right of way, and letting.
• Provide engineering guidance to local governments, consultants, and staff; liaison between parties.
