Job summary

State of North Carolina Department of Transportation seeks an Engineer III (NS) to lead the Implementation and Technology Transfer Program within the R&D Unit. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and four (4) years of progressively responsible experience, or an equivalent combination.
• Knowledge of state and federal research and development processes, including new research and technology transfer.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Implementation and Technology Transfer Program and coordinate projects with staff and stakeholders.
• Support Planning, Programming, and Policy research initiatives and the annual R&D work program.
• Monitor and evaluate research initiatives, quantify impacts, and promote adoption of research outcomes.
• Collaborate with R&D manager to update policies and work manuals reflecting best practices.
