Job summary

Forterra is seeking a Localization Integration Engineer to deploy and scale navigation software across vehicle platforms. You will work with state estimation engineers to ensure reliable GNSS/INS performance across diverse vehicles, sensors, and compute platforms.

The role emphasizes hands-on system integration and robust hardware/software interfaces. You will collaborate on bring-up, sensor validation, and tool development while supporting on-site vehicle testing and deployments in dynamic

Qualifications

Requires a B.S./M.S. in Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science or related field.
2–8 years in robotics, autonomy, automotive, or embedded systems.
Experience with state estimation concepts and field debugging is needed.

Responsibilities

Integrate localization software onto new vehicle platforms and compute environments.
Bring up and validate GNSS, IMU, encoder, and other navigation sensors.
Develop hardware/software interfaces and new sensor drivers.
Debug system-level issues from sensors to state estimation outputs.
Support vehicle testing, data collection, and performance validation.
Collaborate with state estimation engineers to tune configurations.
Build tools and scripts for calibration, validation and analysis.
Coordinate software versioning and dependencies with DevOps for reliable releases.
Occasionally travel for on-site vehicle bring-up and testing.
