Job summary

SRM Concrete is seeking a Class A Tanker Operator to transport cement from terminals to SRM plant locations, while performing routine inspections and maintaining required logs to DOT standards. You will deliver on schedule and uphold safety, quality, and customer service at every site.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of Class A tanker experience, a valid CDL A and DOT medical card, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL; Tanker Endorsement is helpful, but not required.
• Current DOT Medical Card.
• Minimum of 2 years’ proven experience driving Class A tanker trucks.
• Clean driving record with no serious tickets or accidents in the last 5 years.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for material transport.
• Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform tasks involving bending, lifting, and climbing.
• Excellent time management skills to meet delivery schedules.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for working with plant personnel and customers.
• Willingness to undergo SRM’s pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A tanker truck, transporting cement from terminals to SRM plant locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safety and compliance.
• Maintain logs and delivery documentation per DOT and company policies.
• Coordinate with dispatch for delivery instructions and routing updates.
• Ensure secure loading/unloading and prevent spills or contamination.
• Follow routes, schedules and safety procedures for material transport.
• Provide professional customer service at delivery sites.
