Job summary

Central Texas Steel Erectors is seeking an experienced Steel Erection Foreman to lead commercial structural steel projects in the Greater Austin area. The ideal candidate will manage crews safely and efficiently, coordinate with project teams, and uphold high standards of quality and safety.

Requirements include verifiable foreman experience, ability to read structural plans, OSHA knowledge, and a valid Texas license.

Qualifications

• Must have verifiable experience as a Steel Erection Foreman.
• Extensive experience in commercial structural steel erection.
• Ability to read and interpret structural steel plans and specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Thorough knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and steel erection practices.
• Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must reside in the Greater Austin area.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead steel erection crews on commercial construction projects.
• Coordinate daily activities to ensure projects stay on schedule.
• Read and interpret structural steel drawings and erection plans.
• Maintain a safe, productive, and organized jobsite.
• Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, crane operators, and subcontractors.
• Conduct daily safety meetings and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Monitor quality, productivity, and workmanship throughout the project.
