Job summary

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited educational institute.
• Current pharmacist license in the states within the district (or willing to obtain in 1 year) per district guidelines.
• At least 1 year of pharmacy experience including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and insurance.
• Has completed specialized training regarding medication and disease state or has sufficient practical experience that is necessary to provide specialized services offered at clinic location (HIV, Organ Transplant, Oncology, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation of the pharmacy department.
• Improve prescription numbers, pharmacy sales, profit, and image through accurate filling of prescriptions and courteous service.
• Report prescription errors and adhere to Quality Improvement Program policies.
• Comply with federal and state laws and company policies governing drugs and products.
• Manage inventory and procurement per buying procedures.
• Maintain pharmacy systems and equipment and ensure proper third-party processes and reimbursements.
• Supervise pharmacy department staff and ensure licensure and training.
• Audit performance and stay aware of developments in pharmacy and healthcare fields.
• Maintain relationships with physicians and other health professionals.
