Job summary

SRM Concrete is seeking a safety‑minded Tanker Operator in Texas to drive a Class A tanker, delivering cement to SRM plants. You’ll perform thorough vehicle inspections, maintain accurate logs, and communicate with dispatch to ensure on-time deliveries.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years’ tanker experience, a valid Class A CDL (tanker endorsement helpful but not required), and a current DOT medical card. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL (Tanker Endorsement helpful but not required).
• Current DOT Medical Card.
• Minimum of 2 years’ proven experience driving Class A tanker trucks.
• Clean driving record with no serious tickets or accidents in the last 5 years.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for material transport.
• Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform bending, lifting, and climbing.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• Willingness to undergo SRM’s pre-employment screenings.
• Positive, go-getter attitude aligned with SRM’s 5 Principles of Service: Safety, Quality, Kindness, Cleanliness, and Go-Getter.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A tanker truck, transporting cement from terminals to SRM locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
• Accurately complete logs, delivery documentation, and other required paperwork per DOT and company policies.
• Communicate with dispatch to receive delivery instructions and provide route updates.
• Ensure loading/unloading security and prevent spills or contamination.
• Follow established routes, schedules, and safety procedures for transporting materials.
• Provide professional customer service at delivery sites.
