Job summary

Portland Sports Complex in Portland, TX, is seeking a Local Programming Coordinator to organize and run youth and adult leagues, tournaments, and after-school programs. Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent education and relevant experience may be considered.
• 1–2 years of experience in recreation, sports programming, community programming, event management, hospitality, education, facility operations, or related field preferred.
• Proven track record of developing, marketing, and selling recreation and training programs.
• Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, negotiating, and written/verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to work flexible schedules including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• CPR/First Aid certifications current or willingness to obtain within specified period.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate youth and adult leagues, camps, clinics, tournaments, and local programming.
• Manage registration, rosters, schedules, rules, and program guidelines.
• Coordinate facility and program schedules based on availability and events.
• Serve as primary contact for participants, parents, coaches, officials, and partners.
• Recruit and coordinate officials, instructors, coaches, and programming staff.
• Track registration, participation, revenue, expenses, retention, and performance; report to leadership.
• Assist with budgeting and monitoring program-related costs like staffing and supplies.
• Collaborate with Marketing to promote programming and identify opportunities.
• Provide on-site program support and address participant concerns and operational needs.
• Build relationships with schools, youth groups, and community partners.
• Support onboarding and scheduling of part-time programming staff; act as MOD when assigned.
