Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines in Kansas City seeks a CDL driver to safely operate tractor-trailers hauling freight across diverse routes. Role includes thorough pre/post-trip inspections, adherence to FMCSA regulations, and hauling hazardous materials as required. Dock loading/unloading may be performed to meet customer needs.

The driver must pass FMCSA medical exam, road test, drug screens, and maintain an acceptable MVR while complying with company policies.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
21 years of age per FMCSA.
Must possess a valid Class A CDL.
Must register with FMCSA Drug/Alcohol Clearinghouse.
HazMat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements required.

Responsibilities

Operate tractor/trailer to transport freight in compliance with FMCSA and company policies.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; ensure safety of equipment and cargo.
Adhere to all FMCSA regulations and company safety rules.
Maintain required records and documentation.
Assist with dock loading/unloading as needed.
Report maintenance issues promptly to Fleet Services.
Possess ability to operate in various environments and terrains.
Work independently or with a team to meet schedules and deadlines.
Pass pre-employment drug screen and background checks.
