Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking a licensed CDL driver to operate tractor-trailers and transport freight across routes in compliance with FMCSA regulations. You will perform pre-trip inspections, maintain records, and ensure safe cargo handling, including hazardous materials when required.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL, HazMat endorsements, and the ability to meet physical requirements. Training on in-cab tech and potential dock duties may be included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent)
• 21 years of age per FMCSA
• Valid Class A CDL required
• FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse registration
• HazMat/Tanker endorsements preferred
• Must pass FMCSA medical exam and road test
• Must be able to lift ~70 lbs and operate in varied environments

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor/trailer safely and legally to transport freight per FMCSA rules
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain required records and comply with regulations
• Provide safe handling of hazardous materials as required
• Dock work may include loading/unloading freight
• Use in-cab technology and electronic logs as needed
• Attend to maintenance issues and report discrepancies promptly
• Work independently or with a team and adapt to schedules as needed
