Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines in Normal, IL seeks a professional CDL driver to safely operate tractor-trailers and haul freight in compliance with FMCSA regulations and company policies. You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain required records.

This role requires a Class A CDL with HazMat/Tanker endorsements, a clean MVR, and the ability to work independently or with a team while meeting tight schedules and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent background.
• 21 years of age and 1 year driving experience.
• Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• Must be registered with FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Must reside within 75 miles of the domiciled Service Center.
• HazMat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements required.
• Must be able to drive tractor trailer per FMCSA requirements.
• Must pass FMCSA medical exam and road test.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Operate all types of equipment safely to perform safety functions.
• Drive tractor/trailer for freight transport in accordance with laws and FMCSA.
• Maintain required records and comply with hazardous materials rules.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle and trailer.
• Dock work to load/unload freight as needed and assist customers.
• Report maintenance, ensure security of cargo and equipment.
