Job summary

Salt City Trucking is seeking a CDL-A Local Intermodal Driver to haul containers locally with home daily. The role offers an annual pay range of $84,000–$95,000 and a $10,000 signing bonus, with weekday scheduling and day-cab equipment.

Average weekly pay ranges from about $1,650–$1,850, with detentions paid at $20/hour after one hour and hazmat pay of $40 per load. Shifts are primarily Monday–Friday with 2:00 PM–5:00 PM starts and 10–12 hour days.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 3 months of truck driving experience.
• Ability to work the assigned Monday–Friday shift.
• Willingness to work an alternate shift when needed.
• Uniforms required.
• Some rail-yard experience preferred.
• No SAP drivers.

Responsibilities

• Haul containers between the Ayer rail ramp and customers within a 250-mile radius.
• Freight originates or terminates in the Worcester/Ayer area.
• No New York City routes.
• 24/7 operation with shared equipment.
• Truck remains at the Lancaster yard during time off.
• Uniforms required.
• No riders permitted.
