Job summary

Salt City Trucking is seeking a CDL-A Local Intermodal Driver for a home-daily schedule on a local intermodal account. You’ll earn a strong base with a $10,000 bonus, plus additional pay for congestion, border-area routes, hazmat, and weekend work.

Expect 250-mile radius assignments and shifts starting 2:00 PM–8:00 PM, with approximately 12-hour days. The role requires valid CDL-A, hazmat endorsement within 60 days, and a DOT medical card.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 3 months of CDL-A experience.
• Hazmat endorsement required within 60 days of scheduling.
• DOT Medical Card.
• No SAP Drivers or riders.

Responsibilities

• Transport loaded rail containers between the ramp and customers within a 250-mile radius of Jersey City/Elizabeth, NJ.
• Pickup loaded containers and return them to the ramp for shipment across the U.S.
• Routes include Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, Staten Island, Long Island, PA, NY and CT.
• Driver unloads are rare and paid when required.
