Job summary

The Atlantic District in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a motivated Principal Agent to lead our local sales team and own the growth, operations, and client service functions. You will build your own client base while collaborating with a supportive team that values growth, integrity, and a client-first approach.

You will champion community relationships, mentor junior staff, and represent the agency at local events, driving brand presence and local market impact.

Qualifications

• Virginia property and casualty license required.
• Virginia life and health license required.
• Three or more years of insurance sales experience.
• Strong network in the Chesapeake area.
• Proficiency with standard office software and agency management systems.
• Must be able to commute to Chesapeake office daily.

Responsibilities

• Lead local sales efforts by identifying and connecting with potential clients in the community.
• Assess needs of families and business owners to provide comprehensive coverage solutions.
• Maintain an active pipeline of prospects and follow up on inquiries with warmth and professionalism.
• Review existing client policies to ensure protection evolves with changing life circumstances.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to a supportive and productive office atmosphere.
• Represent The Atlantic District at local events and participate in regional networking opportunities to grow our brand presence.
