Job summary

The Atlantic District, a Gloucester-based insurance agency, is seeking an Agency Lead to drive growth, operations, and client service. You will be the face of the agency, mentoring a team and partnering with neighbors to advance our presence in the community.

In this role you’ll manage daily operations, guide staff, and implement local outreach. A Virginia P&C license and several years in insurance sales or agency management are required.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Property and Casualty insurance license.
• Three or more years of experience in insurance sales or agency management.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a sales team toward growth.
• Deep knowledge of personal and commercial insurance products in Virginia.
• Comfort with modern agency management software and digital documentation.
• Established ties to Gloucester community or willingness to engage it.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the agency to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Mentor and guide staff, refining sales techniques and client service.
• Develop local outreach strategies to connect with Gloucester neighbors and businesses.
• Manage lead pipelines and convert opportunities into policyholder relationships.
• Analyze sales metrics to identify opportunities to improve offerings and performance.
• Maintain high standards for policy accuracy, ethics, and regulatory compliance.
