Job summary

Stepp’s Towing & Heavy Transport is seeking experienced Heavy Haul Transport Drivers for local and regional runs in the Tampa Bay and surrounding areas. You will haul high, wide, and heavy loads using lowboy, Landoll, step-deck, flatbed trailers, and heavy-duty rollbacks.

Must have a Class A CDL with verifiable experience, DOT Medical Card, TWIC, and HAZMAT within specified timelines. This position offers a strong commission structure, benefits, and growth opportunities at Stepp’s Towing.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL with at least 2 years of verifiable experience required.
• Current DOT Medical Card required.
• TWIC Card required within 30 days of hire.
• HAZMAT endorsement required within 90 days of hire.
• Registered in the DOT Clearinghouse.
• Clean driving record for at least the last 3 years.
• Must pass background check and drug test.
• Experience hauling heavy equipment; able to drive manual transmissions.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver tractor and trailers into loading/unloading positions with signals from crew.
• Pull trailers configured with tow bars or goosenecks as needed.
• Load and unload trucks and operate loading equipment.
• Secure equipment for transport using ropes, chains, binders, etc.
• Operate multi-axle trailers for heavy equipment transport.
• Use GPS mapping effectively.
• Work in all weather conditions.
