Job summary

Southeastern Freight Lines in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Final Mile Driver to pick up, transport, and deliver freight locally in a non CDL-A vehicle. You will load and unload, inspect the vehicle, and ensure all shipping documents are complete and accurate for each delivery.

Candidates must be 21+, hold a HS diploma or GED, pass background and drug screening, and have a valid license with a clean MVR and at least 6 months of driving experience.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must pass background check and alcohol/drug test.
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean MVR.
• Minimum 6 months driving experience (personal vehicle acceptable).
• Willing to enter Driver Trainee Program after one year in Final Mile Driver role.
• Preferred: Pallet Jack, Load & unload, Box Truck, Delivery Driver, CDL B.

Responsibilities

• Pickup, transport, and deliver freight locally in a non CDL-A vehicle.
• Load and unload shipments individually or with assistance; frequent lifting.
• Inspect vehicle for defects before, during, and after trips; submit Vehicle Condition Report.
• Check shipping papers to confirm load contents and absence of hazardous materials.
• Ensure all required paperwork (manifests, bills of lading, etc.) accompanies shipment.
