Job summary

GPAC is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join a well-established local electrical contractor focused on Cincinnati-area commercial and industrial projects. The role centers on developing accurate bids, reviewing plans, and coordinating with project teams to ensure competitive proposals.

With 3+ years in electrical estimating and familiarity with industry software, you will help manage multiple bids, identify risks, and support transitions from bid to project execution in a stable

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical estimating experience.
• Commercial and/or industrial electrical construction background.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and specifications.
• Strong understanding of electrical materials, labor, and installation methods.
• Experience with Estimating software (Accubid, ConEst, McCormick or similar).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of the local electrical construction market is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Estimate local commercial and industrial electrical projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and bid documents.
• Complete material and labor takeoffs.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Develop accurate and competitive project estimates.
• Prepare bids and proposals.
• Identify project risks, exclusions, and opportunities.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Operations, and company leadership.
• Manage multiple estimates and bid deadlines.
• Assist with transitioning awarded projects to the Project Management team.
