Job summary

The Local Dispatcher position in Wisconsin coordinates and directs the local Class A CDL fleet to meet daily business needs, troubleshoot driver issues, traffic delays, and mechanical failures, and communicate results to the appropriate teams.

Responsibilities include scheduling pickups and deliveries, prioritizing tasks under deadlines, ensuring DOT hours of service compliance, and maintaining clear, timely communication with drivers and load planners across departments.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: One+ years in a transportation or truck dispatching environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the local WI fleet pickups and deliveries.
• Use independent discretion to prioritize job responsibilities to meet aggressive deadlines.
• Continually monitor load requests noting location for pick-up, delivery locations, pick-up dates and required delivery dates/times.
• Identify, evaluate and facilitate special pickup and delivery needs.
• Ensure consistent application and compliance of DOT regulations and hours of service.
• Facilitate the customer’s delivery objectives in a timely and effective manner through direct communication with drivers, load planners and other departments across the platform.
• Assist delivery services as needed for tracking of pickup and deliveries.
