Job summary

Mesilla Valley Transportation is seeking a Local P&D Dispatcher for the Evening Shift to support drivers and the fleet in a fast-paced environment. You will coordinate local pickup and delivery activity, communicate clearly with drivers, and enter information accurately into company systems. This role requires strong customer service, basic knowledge of motor carrier operations, and proficiency with MS Office. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3pm–12am.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong customer service skills essential.
• Basic knowledge of motor carrier operations and geography.
• Proficient with MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Acts as an extension of Fleet Supervisor for assigned fleets.
• Communicates clearly and with integrity.
• Accurately enters information into company systems.
• Escalates problems per guidelines.
• Collaborates with team to solve issues.
• Provides clear instructions to drivers.
• Demonstrates high resource utilization.
• Manages multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The Dispatcher is responsible for assisting Local P&D to efficiently and effectively support drivers of our fast-paced organization.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 3pm-12 am

Key measures of success include:

• Strong call handling performance as measured by the Call Availability Report (CAR).
• High performance of fleets that are assigned.
• Be recognized by team, peers, and drivers as a key supporter.
• Demonstrate great customer service with drivers.

Responsibilities:

• Acts as an extension of Fleet Supervisor of fleets assigned.
• Communicates in a clear and consistent manner and with high integrity.
• Accurately enters information into company computer systems.
• Escalates problems per escalations guidelines.
• Works with team members to solve problems.
• Provides clear work instructions to drivers.
• Demonstrates high resource utilization.
• Ability to successfully handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
