Job summary

Mesilla Valley Transportation is hiring a Local Dispatcher to support our fast-paced team. The role plans local pickups, monitors driver on-time deliveries, and coordinates with Customer Service to resolve delays. You’ll forecast daily challenges and provide capacity input to authorize T-calls.

Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent, 1 year in logistics, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Schedule: Wednesday 5:30pm–12am, Thursday–Saturday 5:30pm–5:30am.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year experience in logistics.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
• Moderate knowledge of motor carrier operations and geography preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans pick up and deliveries for local drivers.
• Monitors drivers to ensure pick-up and deliveries are done on time.
• Communicates with Customer Service Team on any delays or issues.
• Provides input on available capacity to authorize T-calls.
• Forecasts upcoming challenges for the next day and advises second shift of pending issues.

The Local Dispatcher is responsible for assisting Local P&D to efficiently and effectively support drivers of our fast-paced organization.

Schedule: Wednesday 5:30pm-12am(midnight), Thursday-Saturday 5:30pm-5:30 am
