Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking motivated individuals to join our local Production team for a driver-based local pickup and delivery role. You will follow routing directions, load/unload donated materials, and ensure safe, courteous service to donors and customers.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and strong time management along with good communication skills to work within our Adult Rehabilitation Program.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Strong time management and customer service skills.
• Ability to operate electronic equipment used for daily route information.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow daily routing directions and complete routes on schedule.
• Load and unload trucks safely.
• Handle donated material with safe procedures and PPE.
• Train and supervise truck helper in the rehabilitation program.
• Perform pre- and post-trip checks and ensure vehicle is in good working order.
• Provide courteous customer service and report donor issues to dispatch.
• Adhere to DOT regulations and state laws; participate in safety meetings.
