Job summary

SupplyHouse.com is seeking a Local Operations Supervisor for its Farmers Branch, TX facility. You will lead local delivery and pickup counter operations, oversee fleet administration, dispatch, and driver management, and ensure safe, efficient, customer-focused service.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Final Mile Delivery, you will drive scheduling, routing, and daily operations while maintaining strong safety and cost controls.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of leadership experience in a fulfillment, warehouse, or distribution environment.
• Proven experience overseeing daily operations, delegating tasks, and ensuring productivity & quality.
• Ability to train, coach, and develop associates to achieve goals.
• Working knowledge of WMS, RF scanners, and SOPs.
• Strong understanding of safety practices and ability to promote a safe work environment.
• Understanding of inventory management and logistics concepts including local delivery operations.
• Strong problem-solving, organization, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Ability to work independently, multitask, and follow standard processes; able to lift up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Confirm daily routes and ensure Local Delivery Drivers are available to take orders.
• Communicate with Local Delivery Drivers while they are on routes.
• Schedule new orders into WorkWave until cutoff times.
• Supervise routing and dispatch to ensure on-time deliveries and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor route performance and collaborate with Fulfillment and Customer Service teams.
• Oversee fleet operations, ensuring vehicles are maintained, inspected, and compliant.
• Coordinate with vendors for repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Serve as primary contact for fleet/dispatch software; optimize systems and workflows.
• Promote safety by conducting driver training and safety investigations in line with DOT/OSHA.
