Job summary

Rexel USA is hiring a Branch Driver in San Leandro, CA to deliver products to customers and branch locations in a delivery van or box truck. The role emphasizes safety, DOT compliance, accurate loading, and proper documentation.

The driver will participate in training, handle returns and supplier pickups, and may assist with branch duties as needed. A valid license, clean MVR, and 21+ years old are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must pass a pre-employment and annual review of the Motor Vehicle Record.
• Must obtain verification of non-expired medical certificate as required by law within 60 days of hire.
• Must not have had a suspended driver's license for a traffic accident/violation within the past 3 years.
• Must not have any at fault accidents in the past 3 years.
• In lieu of experience, must attend company driver training.

Responsibilities

• Inspect company vehicle for defects and complete daily inspection report.
• Keep vehicle clean, serviced, and maintained; report needed repairs.
• Follow DOT, local and state driving laws and regulations.
• Load/unload vehicle and verify order contents before departure.
• Assist in preparing orders for delivery as needed.
• Ensure delivery documentation is completed and signed by customer.
• Pickup material returns and verify condition, quantities, and catalog numbers.
• Pickup material from suppliers.
• Senior Driver will participate in training of entry level drivers; provide mentorship.
• May perform other branch duties such as counter sales, packing/fulfillment, stocking, and shipping material.
