Job summary

Rexel USA in San Leandro, CA is seeking a Branch Driver I, II, or Senior to deliver products to customers, branches and suppliers in a delivery van or box truck, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and proper handling of all material.

The role requires compliance with DOT/local/state laws, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to load/unload, perform inspections, and support branch operations. Training, good benefits, and opportunities for advancement are included.

Qualifications

• In lieu of experience, must attend company driver training.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must pass a pre-employment and annual review of the Motor Vehicle Record.
• Must obtain verification of non-expired medical certificate as required by law within 60 days of hire.
• Must not have had a suspended driver's license for a traffic accident/violation within the past 3 years.
• Must not have any at fault accidents in the past 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Inspect company vehicle for defects and complete daily inspection report.
• Keep vehicle clean, serviced, and maintained; report needed repairs.
• Follow DOT/local/state driving laws and regulations.
• Load/unload material and verify order accuracy.
• Assist in preparing orders for delivery when needed.
• Complete delivery documentation with customer signatures and packing lists.
• Pick up material returns and verify condition and quantities.
• Pick up material from suppliers.
• Mentor entry level drivers and provide coaching as needed.
• May perform other branch duties including counter sales and stocking.
