VyTalent Solutions is seeking a local contract Surgical First Assistant for a 52-week assignment in Jacksonville, Florida. The role operates in OR settings across facilities, with a 40-hour workweek and 10-hour shifts, starting 12/27/2026.

The candidate will support surgeons and perioperative staff, require at least 2 years in the OR as a First Assist with CST certification, and experience in Neuro, Robotics, Orthopedics, and Total Joints.

• 2 years of OR experience as a First assistant CST; Neuro, Robotics, Orthopedics, Total Joints experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgical team in preparing the operating room and ensuring readiness for scheduled cases.
• Support intraoperative workflow by anticipating surgeon needs and maintaining efficient, safe procedural flow.
• Help maintain sterile technique and infection-prevention practices.
• Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia, nursing, and perioperative staff to support patient safety.
• Accurately document required information and support continuity of care across the perioperative team.

VyTalent Surgical Solutions is seeking an experienced Surgical First Assistant to support operating room teams throughout the Jacksonville FL area.

In this role, you’ll work closely with surgeons, OR nurses, and other members of the surgical team across multiple facilities. We’re looking for a First Assist with strong experience in Plastics, OB , General Surgery, and Orthopedics who is comfortable working in different surgical environments based on facility needs.
