Job summary

VyTalent Surgical Solutions seeks an experienced Surgical First Assistant to support operating room teams throughout the Norfolk, Virginia area. You will work closely with surgeons, OR nurses and other members of the surgical team across multiple facilities.

We’re looking for a First Assist with strong OB, General Surgery, and Orthopedics experience who is comfortable working in different surgical environments based on facility needs.

Qualifications

• National certification is required.
• Virginia State Lic. has to be in place or applied for.
• Surgical First Assist experience is required.
• Strong OB, General Surgery and Orthopedic experience.

Responsibilities

• Support operating room teams across the Norfolk, VA area.
• Collaborate with surgeons and OR nurses in multiple facilities.
• Float between facilities to cover coverage needs as assigned.

Pay & Schedule

• $58 hourly
• Bi-weekly pay
• 10-hour shifts

Call Requirements

• 1 overnight call shifts per week
• 1 weekend of call per month

Facility Coverage

This position will float between facilities in the Norfolk/Hampton Roads area based on surgical coverage needs, including:

• Princess Anne
• Leigh
• Leigh Orthopedic Surgery Center
• CarePlex
• OBICI
• OBICI Orthopedic Surgery Center

Qualifications

• National certification required
• Will require to have or applied for the Virginia State Lic.
• Surgical First Assist experience
• Strong OB, General Surgery, and Orthopedic experience
• Ability to float between multiple facilities based on coverage needs
• Comfortable working collaboratively with surgeons and operating room teams
