Nuclear Medicine Technologist – Full Time

Job Summary

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for performing brain SPECT scans and related quality assurance procedures in a fast-paced outpatient healthcare setting. This role requires technical expertise, patient care skills, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform brain SPECT scans and ensure imaging quality.
  • Prepare IVs and administer patient doses.
  • Process and print scan images before the end of the workday.
  • Implement and oversee testing protocols.
  • Maintain patient safety, confidentiality, and comfort during procedures.

Qualifications

  • Current Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in the applicable state (Required).
  • Ability to work efficiently with large patient volumes.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to patients.
  • Time management and ability to work independently or within a team.
  • Empathy and emotional stability, ensuring positive patient interactions.
  • Familiarity with brain imaging ().
  • Experience with Picker Prism 3000 system ().

Physical & Work Environment

  • Frequent typing, screen viewing, and use of office equipment.
  • Prolonged sitting during imaging procedures.
  • Frequent hearing, listening, and verbal communication.
  • Moderate noise level, working indoors in a temperature-controlled environment.
