Job summary

FullShift Staffing, LLC is seeking an experienced LVN to provide nursing care in compliance with state and facility guidelines in Los Angeles, CA. The role emphasizes medication administration, patient education, and coordination with physicians and other departments.

The candidate should hold a California LVN license with compact-state flexibility and have prior long-term care and management experience, including familiarity with Point Click Care charting.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as LVN in California; compact license acceptable if working in a compact state.
• One year of nursing management experience preferred.
• Experience in long-term care setting is required.
• Point Click Care charting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Infection Control Manual.
• Participates in the Quality Improvement Program and supports implementation.
• Uses the Quality Life Manual to identify, place, and monitor patients in appropriate programs.
• Notifies other departments of patient changes (room changes, LOA, new admits, discharge).
• Provides family and patient education.
• Administers medications timely and per facility policy.
• Administers treatments timely and per facility policy.
• Receives, transcribes, and carries out physician orders as allowed by Nurse Practice Act.

Job description

Objective

Provides nursing care within scope of practice to ensure patient’s needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies and procedures, and state, federal and local guidelines.

Principal Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Company Infection Control Manual.
• Understands, participates and assists in implementing the Quality Improvement Program.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for identification, placement, and monitoring of patients in the appropriate programs.
• Notifies other Departments of patient changes, i.e., room changes, LOA, new admits, discharge, etc.
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Demonstrates the ability to administer medications timely and according to facility policy.
• Demonstrates the ability to administer treatments timely and according to facility policy.
• Demonstrates ability to receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders, if allowed by Nurse Practice Act
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as LVN in state California, if contract is in the state of Califonia. Have a compact license if working in a Compact state.
• One-year prior nursing management experience preferred
