Job summary

FullShift Staffing, LLC is seeking an experienced LVN to lead nursing operations in a California long-term care setting. The role requires current California LVN licensure and preferred management experience, with expertise in Point Click Care charting.

The candidate will participate in quality improvement, patient education, and interdepartmental communication to ensure care standards and regulatory compliance are met.

Qualifications

• California LVN license; compact license accepted for other states.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing management experience preferred.
• Long-term care experience required.
• Experience with Point Click Care charting.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Infection Control Manual.
• Participates in the Quality Improvement Program.
• Uses the Quality Life Manual for patient placement and monitoring.
• Notifies departments of patient changes (room changes, LOA, new admits, discharge).
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Administers medications timely and per facility policy.
• Administers treatments timely and per facility policy.
• Transcribes physician orders as allowed by Nurse Practice Act.
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

Job description

Objective

Provides nursing care within scope of practice to ensure patient’s needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies and procedures, and state, federal and local guidelines.

Principal Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Company Infection Control Manual.
• Understands, participates and assists in implementing the Quality Improvement Program.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for identification, placement, and monitoring of patients in the appropriate programs.
• Notifies other Departments of patient changes, i.e., room changes, LOA, new admits, discharge, etc.
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Demonstrates the ability to administer medications timely and according to facility policy.
• Demonstrates the ability to administer treatments timely and according to facility policy.
• Demonstrates ability to receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders, if allowed by Nurse Practice Act
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as LVN in state California, if contract is in the state of Califonia. Have a compact license if working in a Compact state.
• One-year prior nursing management experience preferred
