Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Travel CT Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Charlotte, NC. The role requires dual-modality Rad/CT expertise with a minimum of 2 years of experience and ARRT certification.

This position involves night shifts from Friday to Sunday and offers exceptional benefits starting from day one. Travelers will perform CT scans and general diagnostic x-rays in a fast-paced environment supportive of both emergency and outpatient populations.

Qualifications

• Active state license required, if applicable.
• Candidate's permanent address must be located at least 50 miles from the facility.

Responsibilities

• Complete 1 day of administrative onboarding and up to 1 week of departmental orientation.

Travel CT Technologist - CT Scan

Assignment Overview

• Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs
• Hours: 36 hrs/wk
• Start Date: 06/29/2026
• Length: 13 weeks
• Openings: 1

Details

• Freestanding emergency department with 18 beds (24 including RME), operating without a trauma designation
• Serves both ED and outpatient imaging populations
• Averages 108 ED visits per day with approximately 100 combined radiology and CT studies performed daily
• Performs general diagnostic x-rays, portable x-rays, and CT imaging
• EMR: Epic (with Epic Radiant RIS); PACS: Philips iSite
• Equipment includes Siemens XCite CT scanner, Bayer/Medrad Power Injectors, Shimadzu RadSpeed x-ray, and GE AMX portable x-ray unit
• 12-hour night shifts, Friday through Sunday, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• On-call required approximately 3–4 shifts per month
• No floating required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of dual-modality Rad/CT experience required
• BLS required
• ARRT certification required: ARRT-R and ARRT-CT (dual role: ARRT-R-CT preferred)
• Active state license required, if applicable
• Proficiency performing CT studies, general diagnostic x-rays, and portable x-rays
• Candidate's permanent address must be located at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

Additional Information

• Perform dual-modality duties including CT scanning and general/portable diagnostic radiology for ED and outpatient populations
• Orientation includes 1 day of administrative onboarding (Epic, eLearnings, policy review) and up to 1 week of departmental orientation as needed
• Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays
• Black scrubs required
