AAA Cooper Transportation, Inc. is hiring a local CDL Class B P&D city driver in Des Plaines, IL. This position covers intra-state and inter-state routes, with duties including loading/unloading and adherence to safety standards.

The role requires a valid Class B CDL, Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, DOT medical certificate, and a clean driving record. The schedule spans days Monday through Sunday with AM/PM shifts, and a robust benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL required.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required.
• DOT medical certificate/physical required.
• Minimum 1 year Class B driving experience.
• Clean driving record (≤2 moving violations past 3 years).
• Ability to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Operate straight trucks safely while complying with state and federal regulations.
• Meet DOT medical standards and maintain Medical Examiner's Certificate.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report defects.
• Record ELD, VIR, trip and dispatch data.
• Ensure cargo is secured for transport.
• Load, unload and secure freight as needed.
• Maintain communication with dispatch and adhere to schedules.
• Represent the company professionally with customers and team.
