Job summary

United Rentals in Round Rock, TX is seeking a Class B CDL Driver to deliver equipment to customers in a safe, timely and courteous manner. You’ll be a company ambassador, interacting with customers and ensuring on-time drop-offs and pickups while adhering to DOT regulations.

Requirements include a valid Class B CDL, a clean driving record, at least 2 years of DOT-regulated driving experience, and the ability to lift up to 45 lbs. Local, home every night with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL with acceptable driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years DOT regulated Commercial Driving Experience.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures.
• Diligent attention to safety.

Responsibilities

• Drop off and pick up equipment for customers.
• Operate heavy equipment such as semi-trucks and trailers ('rollbacks' or 'dove tails') consistent with DOT classification CDL-B.
• Adhere to all safety requirements particular to equipment including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Maintain driver’s logs and complete pre-trip inspections.
• Suggest equipment and supplies to meet customers’ other needs.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
