Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking a professional truck driver to operate tractors/trailers and transport freight safely in compliance with FMCSA regulations. You will perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections, secure cargo, and maintain required records while adhering to safety standards and company policies.

The role requires a Class A CDL, HazMat/Tanker endorsements, and the ability to work in various terrains and weather conditions. Candidates must be able to lift 70 lbs and pass a background check.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• 21+ years old per FMCSA regulations; 1 year driving experience.
• Must possess valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• Must be registered with FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• HazMat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements required.
• Able to drive tractor-trailer per FMCSA requirements.
• Stable employment history preferred.
• Capable of operating forklift (7500 lb).
• Able to lift ~70 lbs. and operate in diverse environments.
• Must meet English language FMCSA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate all types of equipment and drive tractor/trailer to transport freight safely.
• Comply with FMCSA regulations and safety requirements for run times and hazardous materials.
• Maintain compliance records per local, state, and federal laws.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report maintenance issues.
• Secure cargo and ensure trailer seals; verify paperwork.
• Interact professionally with customers and dock staff; assist with loading/unloading as needed.
