Job summary

AAA Cooper Transportation, Inc. is seeking a Class A CDL P&D Truck Driver in California. The role covers pickups and deliveries across intra-state and inter-state routes, with loading, unloading, and handling freight as needed.

The driver must meet DOT medical standards, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and log trip data. We offer comprehensive benefits and a competitive hourly wage.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Valid DOT medical certificate
• Endorsements: Hazmat, Tanker, Doubles/Triples
• Minimum 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Driving record with no more than two moving violations in 3 years
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Must complete onboarding process: drug screening, background check, MVR, PSP
• Successful completion of new-hire training, including assessments, driving test, trailer tests, forklift test
• Minimum 21 years of age

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles safely while complying with state and federal regulations
• Meet DOT medical standards and maintain a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report defects
• Record trip, dispatch, and ELD information using company IT equipment
• Ensure cargo securement to prevent damage during transport
• Load, unload, and secure freight as required
• Maintain communication with dispatch and adhere to schedules
• Represent the company professionally with customers and team members
• Other duties as assigned
