Job summary

Carolina Atlantic Roofing Supply in Baxley, GA is seeking a Class A CDL Driver responsible for delivering company inventory within a 150-mile radius and ensuring loads are inspected and secured for transit. You will maintain accurate delivery logs, complete paperwork, and communicate any issues to management.

The ideal candidate has a valid Class A license, 1+ year tractor-trailer experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass background, MV, and drug checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Class A driver’s license required.
• 1+ years of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Clean driving record with no moving violations.
• Must pass background, MV check, and drug test.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs and performing related duties.
• Must operate GPS and handling equipment (lift, hand trucks, pallet jacks).

Responsibilities

• Operate and safely drive the delivery vehicle per company regulations and laws.
• Drive trucks >26,000 lbs GVW and tow heavy loads as needed.
• Secure contents to prevent damage and complete deliveries with signatures.
• Unload goods at designated destinations and verify shipments against manifests.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report defects.
• Maintain and service the vehicle (refuels, oil, tires) and notify management of issues.
• Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs (electronic logs mandatory).
• Represent the company with professional customer service and safety practices.
