Job summary

Carolina Atlantic Baxley, GA is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to transport inventory and manage loads on routes within a 150-mile radius. Responsibilities include secure loading, timely deliveries, and accurate reporting.

The role requires pre/post trip inspections, vehicle maintenance, and clear communication with managers on issues affecting deliveries. This position offers a sign-on bonus and local route work.

Responsibilities

• Operate and safely drive assigned delivery vehicle according to company regulations, state and federal laws, and customer policies
• Drive trucks with GVW over 26,000 lbs and pull a towed vehicle weight over 10,000 lbs
• Ensure contents are properly secured inside the truck to prevent breakage or damage
• Safely and efficiently handle and unload goods at destinations
• Obtain signatures and complete paperwork to confirm deliveries
• Confirm contents of each shipment load matches the manifest
• Perform pre and post trip inspections and report defects
• Maintain and service vehicle as needed (refuel, oil, tire pressure, repairs)
• Notify managers of major maintenance or delivery issues
