Job summary

Salt City Trucking is seeking a Local CDL-A Intermodal Driver to service the Portland and Salem areas with occasional runs into Washington. Earn weekly pay between $1,400 and $1,800 and a $5,000 bonus, with a mix of drop-and-hook, live load, and live unload freight.

You will work in a dedicated intermodal role with home daily time and flexible shift patterns. HazMat endorsement is optional and can bring additional pay; drivers must meet DOT requirements and be able to cross into Washington when

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 3 months verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
• Must be at least 22 years old.
• No more than 3 moving violations in past 3 years.
• Must meet DOT Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse requirements.
• Must be willing to cross into Washington when required.
• HazMat endorsement not required, but available for additional pay.
• Must be able to read and speak English sufficiently for driving and required documentation.

Responsibilities

• Local, dedicated intermodal operations around Portland, Salem, with occasional Washington freight.
• Home daily with daily shifts (day/night) and varying schedules.
• No driver-assist unloading; intermodal container freight with drop-and-hook/live load/unload.
• Operate primarily short-haul freight; responsibilities include safe cargo handling and compliance.

Local CDL-A Intermodal Driver – $5,000 Bonus | Home Daily

Earn $1,400-$1,800 per week with daily home time and a $5,000 bonus. This dedicated intermodal position operates throughout the Portland and Salem areas, with occasional freight into Washington. Drivers handle primarily short-haul container moves with no driver-assist unloading.

Pay Details

• $1,400-$1,800 weekly pay
• $0.65 CPM
• $22 per stop
• Approximately $44 average per load
• $40 per load for approximately 90% of loads under 50 miles
• $750 incentive every 50 customer deliveries/pickups
• $5,000 bonus
• HazMat endorsement is optional; additional pay is available for endorsed drivers
• HazMat endorsement costs can be reimbursed with a receipt

• HazMat endorsement is not required , but is available for additional pay
