Job summary

Chiquita Account is seeking a CDL-A Local Driver for a dedicated port and container operation. You will haul 40-foot containers, shuttle between the Port of Wilmington, the local yard, and a distribution center with home daily schedules and no-touch freight.

Typical starts are mornings, with strong weekly earnings potential. Port/container experience is not required as training is provided. Safety and DOT compliance are a must.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 6 months of recent tractor-trailer experience.
• Valid TWIC card.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Previous container or tanker experience is a plus.
• Must meet all DOT qualification requirements.
• Must pass a comprehensive drug test.
• Satisfactory driving, safety, and employment history.
• Ability to safely operate a tractor-trailer in port, yard, and local delivery environments.

Responsibilities

• Haul 40-foot containers, primarily banana freight.
• Shuttle loads between Port of Wilmington, local yard, and distribution center.
• Operate within a 15-mile radius of the port.
• No-touch freight and consistent dedicated local routes.

Join a dedicated local port and container operation hauling 40-foot containers between the Port of Wilmington, the local yard, and a distribution center. Enjoy home daily, no-touch freight, consistent morning starts, and strong weekly earning potential.

Pay Details

• Average Weekly Earnings: $1,650–$1,800


• $26/hour with annual pay increases


• $1,500 guaranteed weekly pay during the first 30 days


• $500 New Hire Transition Bonus paid in full on the second paycheck


• $3,000 referral bonus for each qualified driver referred


• $250 per day for two-day paid orientation

Job Details

• Haul 40-foot containers, primarily carrying banana freight


• Shuttle loads between the Port of Wilmington, local yard, and distribution center


• Operate primarily within a 15-mile radius of the port


• No-touch freight


• Consistent dedicated local routes


• Port and container experience is not required; account support and instruction are provided

Shift Details
