Job summary

Herman N Logistics seeks a CDL-A Local Driver for the Chiquita account. Driver will haul 40-foot containers between the Port of Wilmington, local yard, and a distribution center with home daily shifts and no-touch freight.

Typical start times 5:00 AM–7:00 AM, with a focus on consistent local daytime work around a 15-mile port radius. Port/container experience not required; account support and instruction provided.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Minimum 6 months of recent tractor-trailer experience.
• TWIC card is required.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Must pass a comprehensive DOT drug test.

Responsibilities

• Haul 40-foot containers, primarily banana freight.
• Shuttle loads between the Port of Wilmington, local yard, and distribution center.
• Operate within a 15-mile radius of the port.
• No-touch freight and consistent local routes.

Join a dedicated local port and container operation hauling 40-foot containers between the Port of Wilmington, the local yard, and a distribution center. Enjoy home daily, no-touch freight, consistent morning starts, and strong weekly earning potential.

Pay Details

• Average Weekly Earnings: $1,700–$1,800
• $26/hour with annual pay increases
• $1,500 guaranteed weekly pay during the first 30 days
• $500 New Hire Transition Bonus paid in full on the second paycheck
• $3,000 referral bonus for each qualified driver referred
• $250 per day for two-day paid orientation

Job Requirements
