Job summary

Lakeshore Recycling Systems is seeking a professional driver to operate front‑load trucks on dedicated routes around Atkinson, IL. This on‑site role offers a stable schedule, home daily, and a strong safety culture with DOT compliance at its core.

You will perform vehicle inspections, transport waste or recyclables, and coordinate with dispatch to manage delays. Training is available, with full company benefits starting after 30 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a CDL B license.
• Will train drivers with no experience; preferred exposure to manufacturing, waste, or logistics.
• Must pass DOT medical card requirements and pre-employment drug screen.
• Must be able to read and speak English well enough to communicate and understand safety training.
• Must meet DOT testing and physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment.
• Collect and transport waste or recyclables from commercial customers.
• Communicate with dispatchers and route supervisors regarding issues or delays.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed.
• Ensure compliance with DOT and company safety standards.
