Job description

Position Summary

Custom Distribution Inc., a proud partner of Heritage Pool Supply, is looking for a safety‑conscious and self‑motivated team player to join as a Local CDL Driver. Deliver products to customer sites within a maximum radius of your home branch, with deliveries beginning and ending at the branch. Over‑time opportunities are available during busy seasons. The pay rate is $26 per hour DOE.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety above all else and comply with all DOT regulations while operating a commercial vehicle.
• Load, unload, and stage orders in a warehouse or job‑site environment.
• Deliver products to customer sites and branch locations, unloading goods as needed.
• Understand and adhere to FMCSA regulations.
• Perform related duties such as stocking, order entry, shipping, receiving, and customer service.
• Maintain delivery, truck, and driving records by obtaining signed delivery receipts, recording tracking information, and completing driver logs and truck performance forms.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL license.
• Safe driving record with no hit & runs or DWI/DUI convictions within the last three years; accidents and/or severe violations in the last year will be reviewed by HR and management.
• Prior commercial driving experience and knowledge of DOT & OSHA safety regulations are a plus.
• HAZMAT endorsement is an asset.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Forklift experience is helpful (other types of truck experience acceptable).
• Ability to lift 50 pounds on a repetitive basis.
• Ability to pass a background check, pre‑employment drug test, and DOT physical.
