Job summary

48forty Solutions is seeking a CDL-A Driver in Hammond, LA. You’ll handle local truckload deliveries, mostly drop and hook, with routes typically within 500 miles and 3–5 per shift. Expect 10–12 hour shifts driving a 53’ dry van, home daily with weekends off.

Qualifications

• 1 year CDL-A driving experience within past 3 years
• Must be at least 23 years of age or older
• Must possess a valid CDL-A license
• Must pass a DOT Physical from a DOT approved physician
• No record of disqualification to drive
• Successful completion of a DOT road test
• PSP report scores of 10 or below in the past 3 years
• No more than 2 moving violations in past 3 years
• Experience in logistics/warehouse/OTR preferred
• English reading/writing/speaking proficiency required

Responsibilities

• Handle all local truckload deliveries, primarily drop and hook
• Deliver and pick up trailers within 500 miles, ~3–5 routes per shift
• Drive an automatic, 53’ truck/dry van for 10–12 hour shifts
