Job summary

R.P. Lumber in Saratoga, WY is seeking a CDL Driver for our local lumberyard. This on-site, full-time role involves delivering building materials to customer jobsites, loading/unloading with boom or forklift, and assisting in the yard when not on a route.

You will report to the General Manager and must maintain safe driving, accurate paperwork, and a professional customer-focused approach. Valid CDL and DOT medical certificate required.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidates hold a valid CDL (A or B) with air-brake and manual-transmission endorsements preferred.
• Current DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• Acceptable commercial driving record for the prior 60 months.
• At least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED or 6–12 months related experience.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers, vendors, managers, and teammates.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to perform the essential physical functions, including lifting 50–100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lumber, shingles, drywall, millwork and other building products to customer jobsites, following safe, legal routes.
• Load and unload materials with boom/crane, Moffett/piggyback, or by hand; secure return loads as needed.
• Complete delivery, transfer, and paperwork to keep inventory accurate.
• Help load/secure materials in trucks and assist yard personnel in verifying quantities.
• Maintain clean, safe vehicles and follow all safety guidelines and DOT/FMCSA requirements.
