Job summary

48forty Solutions in Memphis, TN is seeking a CDL Driver to join our local team. Earn $23.50/hr, enjoy daily home time, weekends off, and no-touch freight. The role handles local deliveries and drop-and-hook operations in a 53’ dry-van, with shifts starting at 7:00am or 8:00am.

Qualifications include 1 year CDL-A experience, valid CDL, DOT physical, and clean PSP/moving violation history. English proficiency required for safe operation and communication.

Qualifications

• 1 year CDL-A driving experience within past 3 years
• Must be at least 23 years old or older
• Must possess a valid CDL to operate a CMV
• Must pass a DOT Physical from a nationally registered DOT approved physician
• No record of being disqualified to drive
• Successful completion of a DOT road test
• PSP report scores of 10 or below in past 3 years
• No more than 2 moving violations in past 3 years
• English reading/writing/speaking proficiency required

Responsibilities

• Handle all local truckload deliveries; drop and hook
• Deliver and pick up trailers within miles; ~1-2 routes per shift
• Drive an automatic, 53’ truck/dry van for shifts

Job description

As a CDL Driver, you’ll get the opportunity for competitive pay, for weekends off, to be home daily, and have no touch freight!

Hourly Pay

$23.50/hr.

Shift(s)

Monday-Friday 7:00am or 8:00am Start Time (10-12 hour shifts)

What You'll Do

• Handle all local truckload deliveries; primarily drop and hook
• Deliver and pick up trailers within (# of miles) making about (# of routes) routes per shift
• Drive an automatic, 53’ truck/dry van for (# of hours) shifts

What You'll Need

• 1-year CDL-A driving experience within past 3 years
• Must be at least 23 years of age or older
• Must Possess a valid license to operate a commercial motor vehicle
• Must pass a DOT Physical from a nationally registered DOT approved physician
• No record of being disqualified to drive
• Successful completion of a DOT road test
• PSP report scores of 10 or below in the past 3 years – a higher score will be reviewed
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
• Candidates with experience in logistics, warehouse, OTR, Over-the-Road, CDL Class A License, Truck and Trailer, preferred
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently
