Job summary

48forty Solutions is seeking a CDL Driver to join our team in Houston, TX. You’ll handle local truckload deliveries, primarily drop and hook, with no touch freight and be home daily.

The role offers hourly pay of $24.00, weekends off, plus benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), PTO, and opportunities for career advancement in a supportive, team-focused environment. Must meet DOT requirements and pass road tests.

Qualifications

• 1-year CDL-A driving experience within past 3 years.
• Must be at least 23 years of age or older.
• Must possess a valid CDL-A license and be able to pass a DOT physical.
• Clean PSP history and no disqualifications to drive.

Responsibilities

• Handle local truckload deliveries; primarily drop and hook.
• Deliver and pick up trailers within 100 miles; ~6-8 routes per shift.
• Drive an automatic, 53' truck/dry van for long shifts.

Overview

As a CDL Driver, you’ll get the opportunity for competitive pay, for weekends off, to be home daily, and have no touch freight!

Hourly Pay:

$24.00/hr

Shift(s):

Shift: Monday - Friday 5:30am - 5:00pm and twice a month 1/2 day Saturday

What You'll Do

• Handle all local truckload deliveries; primarily drop and hook

• Deliver and pick up trailers within 100 miles making about 6-8 routes per shift

• Drive an automatic, 53’ truck/dry van for 10-12 hour shifts

What You'll Need

• 1-year CDL-A driving experience within past 3 years

• Must be at least 23 years of age or older

• Must Possess a valid license to operate a commercial motor vehicle

• Must pass a DOT Physical from a nationally registered DOT approved physician

• No record of being disqualified to drive

• Successful completion of a DOT road test

• PSP report scores of 10 or below in the past 3 years – a higher score will be reviewed

• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years

• Candidates with experience in logistics, warehouse, OTR, Over-the-Road, CDL Class A License, Truck and Trailer, preferred

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently
